Thomas Frisendal presents keynote and workshop about Graph Technology on DW & BI Summit jubilee

On the tenth jubilee edition of the Datawarehousing & Business Intelligence Summit Thomas Frisendal will present a session about the Knowledge Graph and a workshop Understanding Graph Technologies. The Datawarehousing & Business Intelligence Summit takes place on April 4th in the Van der Valk Hotel Utrecht, The Netherlands. The Summit will be presented fully online with a live Video stream allowing interaction. On April 5th three workshops will be presented by Nigel Turner, Alec Sharp and Thomas Frisendal.

Thomas Frisendal is an experienced database professional with more than 30 years on the IT vendor side and as an independent consultant. He has worked with databases and data modeling since the late 70s. Ever since Google announced its Knowledge Graph solution in 2012 the paradigm has found its way into many real-world use cases, mostly in the analytics space. Thomas Frisendal will cover in his presentation Knowledge Graphs – New Perspectives on Analytics what a Knowledge Graph is, the potential it offers in analytics, how it is different and yet complementary and he will look at vendors, products and standards.

In a half-day workshop on April 5th Thomas Frisendal will showcase what and how graph technologies imply from practical perspectives. He will also demonstrate how graph solutions are different as well as how traditional databases and graphs are complementary to each other.

This tenth jubilee edition of the DW & BI Summit will offer an extensive programme with keynotes from speakers within the Business Intelligence field like Mike Ferguson, Nigel Turner, Thomas Frisendal, Alec Sharp, Tanja Ubert, Herman Bennema, Matthijs Stel, Jan W. Veldsink and Rick van der Lans.

Workshops
The next day on April 5th three workshops will be presented by Nigel Turner (A Data Strategy for Becoming Data Driven), Alec Sharp (Concept Modelling for Business Analysts) and graph-expert Thomas Frisendal (Understanding Graph Technologies).

Live video stream
The DW & BI Summit will be accessible online for registered participants via a live video stream. Digital presentations sheets of all sessions will be available a few days before the summit. The recorded presentations will come available online afterwards to all registered participants.
