Barry Devlin returns after six years as keynote speaker at the Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence Summit. At this eighth edition of the DW & BI Summit, Barry Devlin will speak about the challenges and opportunities in integrating AI into Business Intelligence. This year’s DW & BI Summit takes place on June 30th and July 1st at the Van der Valk Hotel Utrecht and can be followed remotely via a live video stream.
Dr. Barry Devlin is one of the authorities in the field of business insight and one of the founders of data warehousing. In his keynote Would you let AI do your BI? he will address how artificial intelligence and machine learning are increasingly being used within traditional BI. Among other things, he will demonstrate how data preparation and data governance benefit from AI and what AI has to offer existing data warehouses and data lakes. Ethical considerations in the use of AI in decision making will also receive his attention.
In addition, on Friday, July 2nd, Barry Devlin will present a unique post-conference tutorial Growing your Decision Making from BI and Analytics to AI. In one morning session, he covers the challenges and potential benefits of moving from BI and Analytics to AI. He discusses its use in data management; its relationship to data warehouses, data marts and data lakes; its emerging role in BI; its strengths and weaknesses at all levels of decision support. The virtual morning session can be attended either in conjunction with the conference or separately.
Live video stream
The DW & BI Summit will be accessible online for registered participants via a live video stream. The congress documentation will also be available digitally a few days prior to the congress. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the number of seats is limited. In case the Live or Hybrid format is not possible due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Summit will be presented fully Online with a Live Video Stream allowing interaction.
