Martijn van Rooijen is data steward at the RIVM. His aim is to handle data as efficiently as possible. In order to support scientific staff as much as possible, he provides tooling – data management plans, (meta)data catalogue – and guidelines. This involves cooperation with important disciplines such as privacy, legal and the archive. In addition to his core business, Martijn also provides direct support to researchers who want to make their data more FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable).
Jeroen Alblas is data manager at the COVID-19 unit of the Centre for Infectious Disease Control of the RIVM. He is team leader of data management and since the outbreak of the Covid-19 crisis has been involved in setting up the data flows between GGD, hospitals and other healthcare chain partners. Seasoned in the field of data and with a background in BI consultancy, Jeroen shares his passion, experiences and learnings from the past Covid-19 period.
